For my media coursework I have been asked to decide weather I would prefer to base mine with Quantitive or Qualitive data. Quantitive is where you include alot of information, based on surveys, questionaires and research, and within this there is obviously alot of information that would be included. However within Quantitive, the simplicity of your work will be quite significant, and you may not get work to such a high standard. Qualitive on the other hand is based on very complex information, going into depth on the ins and outs of the subject, based around interviews and case studies. However neither Qualitive or Quantitive are very reliable, and as a result a great deal of trust is needed. I personally have decided to base mine around Qualitive data, as I think for a music magasine, interviews are a vital part, and music fans want to know exactly what their hero's have to say.
